1. Check power connection: See if the unit is plugged into the rear receptacle of the unit and a working electrical outlet.  Sometimes the plug in the back of the unit comes out a bit. Make sure it is in all the way.
  2. Check front cover: see if the unit’s front cover is in place and tightly shut. The Ultrafine 468 has a safety switch which deactivates the machine if the cover is not completely on. To be sure that the cover is in place, remove and put the front cover back on seeing to it that the inner lock pin located on the bottom edge of the front screen frame is placed in the interlock switch.
  3. Check if the fuse is blown.
  4. If suggested steps have been taken and problems persist, please contact Air Intellipure’s Technical Support Center for further examination by a trained technician.

For the Compact

If you notice that your DFS light is flashing after you have changed your filters, don't panic. This light acts as a reminder to clean and change your filters, so you most likely just have to reset the timer. To reset the flashing light, simply put the machine on  medium speed  and  hold the power button for 5-7 seconds.   These instructions can also be found on the back of the machine.

For the Ultrafine 468

This typically means that the filter timer was mis-set.  It can happen when the 1, 2, or 3 buttons are pressed either too long or too hard. A hard reset should fix this as long as the touchpad has not been damaged from being pressed too hard, thus deforming the capacitive layer.

How to do a "hard reset"

  1. Unplug the machine and then plug it back in.
  2. When the initial sequence of lights flashes across the touchpad, unplug the machine immediately before it can finish flashing.
  3. Afterward, plug it in again, but this time allow it to finish the sequence.
  4. As it turns back on, the power button should be illuminated with a dim blue light.
  5. The machine may now be turned back on with the power button.

DFS turns off & light stays red

The DFS light typically comes on if the High Energy Grid (HEG) is not clean, or if there isn't a good connection within the system, the HEG, and the main filter.  Remove the front grille and the HEG. Gently wipe the electrical contacts, metal plate with holes, and the wires with a lint-free/microfiber cloth and re-test the system.

Does everything work fine now?  If so, great!  If the DFS light continues to turn off and turn red, please try the following steps:

  1. Unplug the system.
  2. Remove the front grille, the HEG, and the main filter.
  3. Leaving the main filter out, reinstall the HEG. This can be a little tricky since the HEG doesn’t have the main filter in there to press up against and line things up. Make sure the HEG post and electrical tab on the bottom are connected. You will notice there is a little “slot” in the top-middle area where the grey lever goes to secure the HEG. Adjust the HEG so that the bottom and top are straight, even, and pulled to the front as far as possible.
  4. Put the front grille on.
  5. Plug the system in and turn it on.

Sometimes unplugging your Ultrafine 468 without turning it off first will cause a glitch in the system which is resolved by doing a “hard reset”:

  1. Unplug the machine and then plug it back in.
  2. When the initial sequence of lights flashes across the touchpad, unplug the machine immediately before it can finish flashing.
  3. Afterward, you can plug the unit in again and this time allow it to finish the sequence.
  4. After coming back on your power button should be illuminated with a dim blue light
  5. The machine may now be turned back on with the power button
